Wildfires – Reading

Hello Readers!

Today in Reading we have read a 7 chapter book about a 10 year old boy escaping from a wildfire whilst saving animals, he was very brave to do it. So to understand our learning of wildfires we had to make something that would work against wildfires. So I said “what if water and fire detergent?” I did some research and it says it’s very helpful against wildfires, because it can disable one of the elements of the fire triangle. And the water can soak the dry grass or anything flammable. It can cause the wildfire unable to spread or slow down, so the foam made by the mix can make a barrier for now stopping the falling embers that cause spot fires. Then it can stop the oxygen supply and most likely stopping it because its apart of the fire triangle and it no longer has the 2 elements needed to supply the wildfires.

Tsunami’s.

Kamusta!

Tsunami’s are an extraordinary disaster, although they’re magnificent it’s also deadly. And in case of a tsunami a system will alert you, Hawaii’s Warning System. Sound familiar? Because it always alerts you one hour or a few hours before the disasters happen. They also can tip over lots of buildings and sweep away cars, and trains like a vacuum cleaner. These are the posters I have made of my DLO so you can get more information, What would you do in case of a tsunami? Anyways. See you on my next blog Readers!

Floods – Reading

Hello,

Recently we’ve currently been learning about floods, and what is dangerous about them. Firstly, the bacteria is more dangerous than the flood itself due to people drinking the contaminated water mass deaths that were led from drinking the contaminated water. Secondly, people could also get dragged from the water and drown. So always grab important stuff and not what you want to grab. That’s all! See you on my next post.
